Lynn’s love affair with food started in her mother’s kitchen. Lynn’s mother and grandmother prepared homemade pastas and breads every day for the family table. Like the generations before her, Lynn also learned how to prepare fresh, homemade cuisine in the family kitchen. Her passion for cooking is evident as Lynn brings her skill, experience, and personal touch to everything that she prepares.
Professional Experience
Lynn’s culinary career began on the Outer Banks in 1995. She moved to the area and began working in some of the finest restaurants. A few years later, Lynn used her passion for local cuisine and personal connection to create something all her own. Outer Banks Personal Chef began in 2001 and over the past 20 years, Lynn has created unique home-cooked meals for hundreds of visitors. Lynn takes great pride in each and every item included on the menus she personally curates for each client. Her attention to detail and knowledge of fine dining creates an experience for her clients that is exclusive and unmatched.
Lynn is the sole owner and executive chef which allows her to design her menus, dream up dishes, and source her ingredients with clients’ needs in mind. Lynn has fallen in love with the local cuisines and abundance of fresh ingredients available on the Outer Banks. With local seafood available nearly year round and no shortage of local farms, Lynn is able to travel the island and hand pick the perfect, in-season ingredients to make every dish a work of art.
Lynn’s love of sharing good food with those around her stems from her childhood. Growing up, she spent countless hours with her mother and grandmother in the family kitchen. Preparing meals and getting creative with ingredients has always come naturally to Lynn. This passion for food and her love of entertaining are joined perfectly in the Outer Banks Personal Chef experience.
Lynn has decades of experience creating customized menus that take into consideration dietary restrictions and allergies. She is well versed in food safety and preparation. She is always happy to work with her clients’ needs and preferences. Meals can be buffet-style or a more intimate sit down setting.
